Ancient Shepherds by Mark Poynton,
Fen Ditton, Cambridge.

When it comes to restaurants Cambridge has to offer, Ancient Shepherds stands apart with our distinctive approach to seasonal dining.

We’re all about one thing: our carefully crafted tasting menus of three, five & seven courses, that celebrate the brilliant marriage of local British ingredients.

Our tasting menu is an adventure through the season, with each dish thoughtfully designed around the finest local and seasonal produce we can get our hands on.

We’re open for lunch & dinner Thursday through Saturday,  offering three tasting menu options. It’s worth noting that our kitchen focuses entirely on tasting menus – it’s what we do best, and frankly, what gets us most excited. However we do open for a 3 course Sunday lunch alongside our 5 course tasting menu.

Children are welcome to dine at Ancient Shepherds, but we do not offer a dedicated children’s menu. If children are joining but do not plan to dine, please make us aware at the time of making the reservation, as this will be subject to availability.
