Restaurant with rooms,
Fen Ditton, Cambridge
The Grade II listed plaster, timber frame & painted brick building, originally built as three cottages in 1540, the Ancient Shepherds has evolved as the sands of time have shifted, culminating back to one of its original forms from 1805, when it was first licensed to sell beer.
There have been many custodians of the Ancient Shepherds, and Chef Mark Poynton been involved since 2020 with the idea of making ‘fine dining accessible’.
There are five letting rooms to the rear of the restaurant, each with their own entrance and equipped with extra little touches such as Nespresso machines, bottled waters and handmade chocolates for the guests.
Please note: The Ancient Shepherds only serves the three tasting menus and unfortunately, at this time, can not facilitate non-dairy dietary requirements.
